I don't really get the idea of taking fibercon--a laxative --to control IBS. Do I take it every day(my dr says to) but what if you are in the D stage of this thing? Is this supposed to regulate either way? What time of day is best to take it? I have more problems in the morning--does that mean I take it at night? thanks--totally confused

I have never understood the theory on this either. I tried it at my doctors request and gave up after a month as the symptoms were worse. I think it works better for the people who suffer from C, not D. I would suggest trying it in the mornings for a month and if it doesn't help or makes it worse, discontinue the usage.

I have had my best success with taking Caltrate Plus. It is a calcium supplement and because calcium can cause C, it seems to help quite a few of us with D.

Good luck.

Christine
