I am afraid of leaving the house because I am in so much pain from IBS. Like Charlie, I have those red pimples bumps associated with itch. I feel self conscience about these bumps that people are constantly asking me what's wrong with me. Not knowing that other people with IBS have the same type of condition I don't feel to bad. But it is embarrasing for people to pick out your flaws like that.

Any suggestions in getting rid of those bumps and the IBS pain? Try eating more fiber, less caffeine, less red meat, less greasy foods, more vegetables and etc. The change of diet has not helped me out. I am still in alot pain. Is there something that I can try to ease the pain naturally beside the heavy pain killers my doctors prescribe for me.

One thing I hate more than anything is when a doctor says to you in an Emergency room is "I know you are in alot of pain, but there is nothing I can do for you"

Anxious to find out other remedies.

hi anna
well about those bumps,
the last two days i put some lotion on me called cetaphil, its a moisturizing lotion,
you can get it over the counter,
and guess what it stoped the itch and made the little red pimps almost go away
how about that one,
my skin is dry maybe that was it?
we will see, now i am as slick as a butterball turkey smooooooooooth as a babys
butt.
give it a shot
oh welcome to the board

Thanks Charlie for the information. After work I'll have to pick it up. Let you know how it works. Thanks Charlie for welcoming to the board, too.

Have you tryed the Caltrate to help stop the D? It has worked wonders for me and a lot of others. Do A search for Caltrate or Look for LNape posts.

Scotty is right, I was housebound completely from July 99 to January 2000 due to pain and D. I started the caltrate and have been fine for weeks now. I have a few bouts with D when I eat stuff I know I shouldn't, like coney island today at lunch, but it was soooo good! Give it a try, Caltrate plus in the purple and white box. And good luck.

I wish I could help with the red bumps, have you tried hydrocortisone cream? Maybe a benedryl lotion for itch?
