Hey gang,

I just wanted to thank all of you for making this bulletin board one of the best resources for people who suffer from IBS. As always, I am looking for ways to improve this website so that we may continue to be a source of information for years to come. If you have any suggestions as to what we could do to improve this site please post it here or send me an email. In particular I was thinking about adding some new forums to this BB. Let me know what you think...

It would be great if you could add a new forum for nausea. Whether it's chronic, or IBS related. Seems so many of us with gastro disorders suffer from it and discussing it with others with the same condition would be a great help.

No Brad - thank YOU for providing a place for IBS sufferers to share information and find support and acceptance. What would we do without this BB? I like it just the way it is!

I don't know if you received the two e-mails I sent you in the past so forgive me if I am repeating myself here.
First of all I wrote to tell you what a great job you did in designing this site. It is set up user-friendly, and that is much appreciated after visiting other sites. It is why I choose to stay here, as well of course, as the interesting and supportive people who choose to hang here.
What I suggested was actually for the fibromyalgia board. It doesn't seem to be getting many hits, and I suggested that if you displayed past postings to make a full board, that it might intice more people to post/reply after seeing the topics listed right away. For now, a week, maybe even a months worth would fit on the first opening page. When people come to the IBS board and see it full, and then go to the fibro board and see it empty; I don't think they are as likely to stick around to investigate past postings. Either they figure it is too much trouble, or they are new and haven't figured out how the board works yet. It pretty much looks like a dead board with no action.
At any rate, thanks for making this a fun place to b. (I like your new message icon addition). Maybe you could do a lupus, MS, or Parkinson's board too. Perhaps you could suggest someone e-mail you or you set up different chat times to see which time works the best, and you could have a place at the top of the board where you could type in the chat time for the week so that people coming on would know when it was.

There are alot of people with IBS and IBD so I would like to see an IBD forum. They are so closely related that they could be of great support to one another. I would also like to see a links page where the members could post either thier webpage or one of their favorite pages. I really appreciate all the work you put into this board and it is the only IBS board that I will go too. The others just don't compare.

Brad,

I have noticed that many of us with IBS are really interested in other people's history, background, experiences, medications, and symptoms. In the past many of us replied to posts that either introduced ourselves to the Board or listed some statistics and general information about our lives and how we deal with IBS.
I therefore think that this board can be greatly improved if you somehow keep this information in a more organized and formatted manner instead of a regular post. It will be nice, for example, to have a section called members profile where we all can fill out a same form to display in the same format and it can always be there as a reference. I for one find myself always searching for old posts to find out more about a particular person like their age, symptom, and location and what worked for them.
You have done a great job with this BB so far and adding user profile database will make this BB that much better.

Thanks,

TomZ

Thanks for finding my old e-mail and e-mailing me back Brad. Not a bad suggestion about the user profile TomZ. A lot of people seem a little timid about putting to much info in their profile when they first come on, and then don't go back to change it. Maybe you could offer a bunch of questions or allow people to write more about themselves/their conditions on a more inclusive profile page of users.

I like the idea of a user profile. It would be nice to actually talk to and possibly
meet people from my area of the country
(Florida).

Hi Brad, Great job and many thanks It is super as it is. BUT now that you ask.

Maybe you could put up a BD page, like just the date (not exposing our ages ) so we could sort of add a URL for cards and sing Happy birthday etc.

and maybe some of the rest would like to add their pictures

Just my 2 worth

Hope you are keeping safe down there. Hiding from all them hurricanes

I agree, Brad. A user profile would be great. Also, posting a photo would be super for those who wanted to. This way you could place the messages with a face and they become more personal.

Thanks for the site. how about a listing of the drugs/treatment plans, which is organized so if you have a certain symptom you can look on the list for what is the best treatment?

Hi Brad,
I really love this BB. Its been very helpful to me and everyone is so nice. I also think the added feature of a user profile would be very useful. I'm sure I'll end up asking the same question twice if I havn't already. Thanks!

Hi Brad..this board has been a source of comfort and support in times of great need. I really appreciate the time you spent making it what it is. And I thank everyone else for contributing too..

I'd definitely like to see a user's forum, I know there is a chat room but no one ever seems to go there. I would really almost prefer to chat with people sometimes and its always discouraging that no one is ever there when I am. Maybe offering times for chat meetings or devising some other way to get people in there would be good. A forum is great too.

THanks muchly !
Gena

How about a free roll of toilet paper when you register? Just kidding. I think the site is great and it's very evident the effort that goes into it. Thank you and keep up the excellent work.

All great suggestions!

It seems that there is much interest in the chat room, but at different times. I would like to post regular chat times...what times does everyone want?
