My cousin had IBS, and went somewhere in Va., for an allergy test. They tested her blood. It turned out she was allergic to many different foods and meds. Alot of fruit, and vegs. Foods I had never heard before as culprits. She has followed this strict diet, and is IBS free. Anyone else ever hear of such?

I had food plus other allergy testing done intradermal, blood tests, and sublingually all from an allergist last year. Fortunately I was not found to be allergic to any specific foods yet but just to food preservatives. I do stay away from citris fruits and tomatoes though, as citric acid was the preservative and I find they make my stomach balloon out and cause some nausea and a dull ache in my abdomen. I was found to be sensitive/allergic to benzoic acid found mostly in soda as well. I believe my stooling problem and proctalgia were caused by the yeast problem they detected, as that went away with the antifungal treatment they gave me (medicine and low sugar diet).

Do you know what diet your cousin followed? I would like to know because I would like to get on that diet. I have allergies to certain foods too. Thanks!
