Hi April

Yes, Buspar was prescribed for me for panic attacks. It took them awhile to realize I was not having panic attacks, I was just in too much pain for too long a time.

I really can't say that it worked but maybe I didn't take it long enough. They tried another anxiety drug (I wish I could remember) and it made me like a zombie and that was when I went into the hospital for the endoscopy. I never took anything for anxiety after that.

Hi April, I took BuSpar a few years back for my panic attacks. I didn't do well on it. It made me very tired and sick. Didn't help the painc. Hope you have better luck. The only thing that seems to help my major panic attacks is Lorazepam. I only take if if things get really bad but carry it with me all the time for comfort. Panic attacks are the WORST!!!!

I've taken so many different drugs, I can't remember if i've take Buspar. My new shirnk gave me tranxene. It works ok. It takes the edge off and I don't feel groggy. minimal side affects. Definitely stay away from celexa, and valium. Both are vey addictive and will make you sicker than a dog. When I was on Valium, I lost 30 pounds in 1 month. I was so weak, I couldn't get out of bed. But I refuse to go back to any hospital. Celexa kept me in bed as well. I thought I was going to die. Never again. I'm begining to think that maybe the meds are causing more problems than I already have. Good Luck I hope this is helpful.
