If the first candidate cannot fullfill the obligations the second runner up will step in.Thats alittle how I felt when I got the call this morning to say I hadnt been selected for the job from Tuesday. It cool though .He is still doing the bacground check
anyway. He said he was impressed and i did great.(my voice whispered sure yeah he says to everybody)but I was impressed that he called me .Most companies dont do that.so I wept a little weep.hoed the garden and came in here to see you guys.I am alittle disapointed but I am pleased overall.I am going to keep trying. There is a reason that I was 2nd choice.back in January this would have really set me back.Oh I als otook the dog for a RUN!! I havent felt like that in years.okay it was a short run but rome wsnt built in a day.

Caltrate update.Everything is good.I feel normal.what ever that may be for me.I go every other day now.yeah!!!Love Pattee

I cant say thankyou enough for all your support and prayers.I am pretty sure that has helped me the most to give me courage and go face the world again.Pattee

Pattee,
You have a great attitude and sooner or later you will be the #1 candidate. I have children your age, I think. The fact that no one calls back is one of their big complaints. It is so cruel. If anyone who is in the hiring capacity reads this, PLEASE, take a minute to call or have someone call so that the interviewee can get some rest.
It sounds like you are doing well physically and mentally. God Bless.

Pattee,

I'm sorry and glad that you are the #2 choice. Sorry that you didn't get the job outright and glad that you not only had the guts (excuse the pun) to go to the interview, but you were impressive enough to be second choice.

Besides, you never know, the first choice person may already have other plans...keep us updated! I took this job and then got called for two others I had to turn down. Just secretarial positions, but it made me feel good that they wanted me!

Congrats and keep up the good work!!! You can do anything!

love,
Jill

Hey, Pattee - it's OK - you've only just begun! The perfect job is out there, this one just wasn't it! Don't you have other interviews lined up? (I thought I read you did.) Anyway, I know you will do fine, honest. The prayers will continue (geez, I've got a lot to pray for on this bb lately! Keep my skills up!).

Love to you, Kathy

Pattee, trust me on this one. It's their loss! And maybe not, as many times their #1 candidate doesn't take the job for some reason. I used to to *lots* of interviewing and hiring when I was still working, not only for my own department but others as well. I was considered very good at it, and I know good employees when I see, hear, and observe them both in person and in writing. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone you choose to work for would be lucky indeed! Just keep looking for a job that you want to do, that will challenge you, and that will make you want to go to work every day.

You never know, the person they hired might not work out and you may get a call down the road. They may also refer your resume to a different company hiring for the same position. I got a job once that I never even applied for!!! Keep smiling!
