I have wondered that myself. I am keeping track of who says Caltrate and who says calcium but I think that there are more than what I count. Maybe people will share what kind of calcium they are on. Monday nite I'm gong to post totals including all the meds that have been mentioned so far.Have a good day.PS For everyone I not only take info from the intro post but I read every new post and add to the totals as people post and reply on the bb.

Mary, I just started taking a Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc supplement. I had every intention of getting the Caltrate, but then found this supplement instead. It has 1000 mg of Calcium, 400 mg of Magnesium and 15 mg of Zinc (per 3 tablets) and it only costs $3.83 for 100 tablets. Is there something special in Caltrate that I am missing? Wendy

Have started on Caltrate 600 + D - I feel confident on it even though it has only been a couple of days - here's hoping.

I love this BB

Hi there!
I haven't posted for a long time. That's what feeling better does to you! I still check in from time to time though.

I've been taking the Caltrate plus since September and I've been great.

Take care,
Niki

I am just wondering if there are any side effects to Caltrate Plus and where to purchase it? I have a problem with gas, bloating and diarrhea, will Caltrate Plus cause constipation?

I started taking Caltrate Plus about a week to 10 days ago - seemed like it was working for the first few days, but I had a terrible weekend - D. However, I also added the peppermint pill and (if you read my other post) I'm wondering if the peppermint pill was the cause of my problems. So, right now I can't really comment on whether or not the calcium is working for me.

I have been taking TumsEX for maybe 14 years. I developed the serious IBS problem about 4 years ago after using Keflex for about a year, although I am sure I had episodes before. It is better now than it was and I seldom had problems with bloating, cramps, nausea etc. even when IBS was really bad (D). Maybe taking the Tums kept it from being the fullblown stuff I have been reading about here. Just a thought.
