I was wondering if anyone else seems to get d attacks only at certain times of the day. I have noticed that I only get d attacks in the evening. I don't think I have ever had d in the morning or during the day. Does anyone else get attacks at certain times?

Kayla,
When I am having a spell of IBS the D can be anytime, night or day, and is usually constant.

No specific timing for me, other than its always within 30 minutes of eating. At its worst, I had D twice every morning before work and then 3 - 5 times during the day depending on when I ate something. Now its just random, once or twice per week, at various times and places, but again, food related.

I am always fine in the morning--generally feel worse as the day goes on. If I eat lunch I m in some jeopardy. By the time I get home--yech--kids fighting, supper, mail.... by 7:30 PM when that officious Alex Trebek comes on I am usually in the bathroom with an episode. Thank God we have three bathrooms in this house.

D has no mercy for me. When it hits, it hits. Morning, noon and night (usually within 10-15 minutes after eating). Never eat while shopping, never go out to eat more than 10-15 minutes from my home and never allow myself to run low on TP in the house. IBS is really the pits.

My attacks are as follows: mornings are terrible, but it's mostly just the stomach cramps and intense feeling that the big D is coming. If I've had a large meal for dinner the night before or ate dinner too late, then I'll definately have D the next morning. Large meals (esp. pizza) always gives me D 10-15 mins after. Basically just deviating from my eating schedule always produces something (D or stomach cramps).

rockcandi1 - two weeks?!?! Lucky you!

Pattee - it's never too much info for us!

Janice - more than one bathroom is such a blessing, no? now I just wish I could have my own private one at work...
