I just got home from the hospital. I am very frustrated because my gastro doc told me that my symptoms are beyond his abilities to deal with. He referred me out of state again. I leave for Seattle at the end of the weak. Do any of you suffer from chronic vomitting along woth constipation. I need to lok at the long term picture, I am not going to get better on my own. Time t get aggressive and stop puking. Help me figure out how to find a doc in Massachuesetts, that is where I grew up and I have family tere that I can stay wit. HELP ME PLEASE> I AM SCARED.

It sounds like you will get some needed help. Just keep calm and try some relaxation rechniques. Keep it all positive or you will make yourself sicker. It is hard to think that way when yoy feel so bad. It may be for the best. You need to take care of yourself!!!

Hi Biddy.
I'm sorry things are going so badly for you, and I know its got to be discouraging after all you've already been through, but they're right, now's not the time to lose faith. You mentioned family in Mass. I'd do a search on the web for whatever is the biggest research hospital in the area and check out their web page (most of the larger hospitals have them now). They should list their staff, and probably even a number to call to discuss your condition with someone that specializes in GI stuff. Good luck, girl, email me if there's anything I can do.

Thanks that is excellent advice that you offered. I feel a bit more positive already. I also asked my family members to get names of GI docs from there regular care providers... But, I don't have a whole heck of a lot of energy.

One way to find a doctor is to look for them at a University web site. For example, see http://gastro.mgh.harvard.edu/ for the Masschusetts General Hospital. But who are going to see in Seattle, is Michael Schuffler?

I leave for Seattle at the end of the week. I have an appointment on Monday with Dr. Bohorofous, the same doc that put my feeding tubes in back in December. I got a couple of names for docs back east and e mailed them. Iam going to call my doc here and give him there names. I feel miserable today, did not even get out of bed untill 3:00 pm. All of my symptoms are at there worst, but I am home again. I got really scared when the nurses started talking about medavacing me to Seattle.
