I SAW A NEW DOCTOR 3 WEEKS AGO. HE THOUGHT THAT MY EXCESSIVE GAS MIGHT BE DUE TO LACTOSE INTOLERANCE. SO HE SUGGESTED I STOP EATING MILK PRODUCTS FOR 2 WEEKS AND AT THE END OF THE 2 WEEKS DRINK 2 GLASSSES OF MILK AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. HE ALSO SUGGESTED I STOP CHEWING GUM. WELL I STOPPED CHEWING GUM AND IT HAS RELIEVED SOME OF THE GAS. ITS NOT COMPLETELY GONE BUT IT HAS HELPED. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE HAS FOUND ANYTHING TO GET RID OF THE GAS. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!

Jessica,
Charcoal tablets have helped me somewhat. I get them at the health food store. I remembered that my grandmother took them years ago. Since then I have read about them on this website. Have you read Dr. Salt's book. I ran out yesterday and bought it. It is very helpful. Gas is most embarrassing. I play golf and there are times when I play very badly because I am worried about embarrassing myself in the middle of a swing. I just hate it!

Hi gals,

Another gassy gal here. I have tried most everyting and haven't found the answer yet. But I keep on keeping on. Just having friends here to share with helps alot. This isn't something you can discuss when you are trying to pretend like you weren't the one.... Know what I mean?

I know this will sound stupid, but when I'm all bloated up, if I don't feel like taking a walk (which usually helps) I lay flat on my back and roll my torso and hips and legs from one side to the other slowly. With my shoulders on the ground. This seems to make the gas "move" If I have time I also take a hot bath and roll slowly from one side to the other.

Gently rubbing your lower stomach in a clockwise direction seems kind of soothing too.

Hope this mignt help!
Jill
