HI,
Today I went to the doctor and he prescribed me Modulon. Just wondering if it has worked for anyone else. Will start on them tomorrow. Had a really rough day today with my IBS so I'm not feeling real confident about much.
I sure hope they work.

Hi Cher, yes modulon works great. I dont take it all the time just when the gas is bad and I cant eat then I take it for about a week or until things get back to normal. I found it very constipating so add lots of fiber and water to your diet. Good luck

Hi Cher, I have tried modulon twice, both times I'm sorry to say it did not work. But don't despair a lot of different things work for different people. I think it's just a matter of finding the right "recipe" for our bodies. Still searching for mine. Best of luck! Liina

Hi, Cher,

I was diagnosed with IBS three years ago. At that time the cramping was so excrutiating I thought my innards were going to fall out. My doctor prescribed Modulon and it has been a life-saver. I do not take it three times a day as the prescription states as my doctor encouraged my to use it only as "need be". I can usually tell within ten minutes of eating something whether or not it has agreed with me. If my stomach is starting to get upset I take a Modulon right away and am usually fine. If I don't catch it right away, like
Silver it can take a week for me to feel myself again and I use the Modulon three times a day then over the course of the week.
I hope you are as successful with the Modulon. IBS is no fun. Good luck!

Yes I started using it about 6 mos ago. I find that I only need to take half of the prescribed amount for it to work. I am mostly constipated and this stuff kicks me out of my "flares" and gets me going again. I also find that I only need to take it for a week at a time and then I am good for about a month. It is the best thing that I have found to treat my C. I don't need any more enemas, stool softeners, or fibre.

Hi Cher, I have tried Modulon and it didn't work for me. I actually had a reaction, I had the sorest throat for days and could not swallow.I also had spots on my neck. After that my specialist said there was nothing else he could offer me and that I would have the same reaction to other drugs for IBS. So I just fall back on my imodium. Good luck to you!!!!
