Please check out this site and see how many Bad chemicals etc. that we injest daily.
Then maybe we might know why we have IBS.
Just a thought ( from me )

The website does not strike me as misinformative, but I think some of you are becoming unecessarily alarmed.

I also don't think IBS has anything to do with these pesticides.

Flux > You mentioned You don't think IBS has anything to do with injesting chemicals and pestisides right ? Well, You could be wrong too ! You don't know, and Nor do I , and Nor does the medical profession. So lets NOT rule out the Possibility that This could be the Root of All IBS Problems.

Pesticides have been used in food in large scale since the 50s, but IBS has been around before then.

Finally someone has brought this to attention. And it needs to be addressed as a possible solution to the cause of IBS.
Not too many people are replying to this post , and that's sad that No one really believes this could be a true cause. I am glad that someone actually thought of this as a possible cause. If the Doctor's aren't able to diagnose what's at the cause of IBS , then this Topic should not be ruled out. Glenda may very well have hit the hammer on the nail with this ! I am going to research into this further. Thanks for bring this to light.
I am new to the B.Board and look forward to reading what people expirence with their IBS.
Sincerely, Cody

Okay, I think that it may be a factor for some but not all people. Just as foods/meds/stress are possible contributable factors. I wouldn't rule it out as a trigger, but I don't think it is the root of the cause.

But the fact still remains > NO one , not even Doctor's ,can pin point the cause. If they could We would all be happy healthy people instead of sick ones. True ???
Don't rule this out ! It may be grasping at straws like Flux claims , but You can't say either way !

Given that IBS started before pesticides were in use on a large-scale we can say that IBS must have at least one other cause.

Well this was just a thought as a possible cause . But I still don't see anyone finding The Cause . So "I" won't rule it out.

I am sure certain products we take can be a contributing factor to our IBS , as can food.
We could even say this is our stomach's way of fighting back with a different allergic reaction to various things that we take.
Wether it's med's or food's. Something is at the root of the problem , and No doctor seem's to be able to put their finger on the True Cause. Nothing should be ruled out here. Even if chemicals and pestisides haven't been around for ever They still could be a partial factor in this issue.
