Let's do our own little research.I have low thyroid as does my husband and 2 sons. Quite unusual.
My dr. says that once you have one auto immune disease the chances for others are greater than the general population

In the last 2 years I have been tested for lupus. The ana is now positve but the other lupus tests are neg. I feel that it is in my system brewing and that sometime in the future it will establish itself. My dr. has also said that many of the lupus/rhuematoid diseases in actuality my have a 7 uear window before they identify themselves.

Hey Rose,

I get tested about twice a year for thyroid and it is always just above the line for low thyroid. Not low enough to be classed but low enough to keep getting tested for it. Everything is normal.

All times are ET (US)
