Where is it coming from? Uh... Bob, no, bad dog, don't go there

Seriously this sounds like something that you're eating that your body can't deal with, so some other little buggers are doing it for you. A lot of the fibre supplements cause a lot of gas, so do beans, onions, milk if you're intolerant... Hmmm, can't find my gas flyer. Check with your GI doctor. They usually have info flyers of all types, and one of them is a list of foods that cause gas. You might also try a websearch for flatus or flatulence.

You can try Beano, or a simethicone prepration. If you're lactose intolerant, try Lactaid.

best

What happens to the gas if you don't eat for a prolonged time (say 2 days)?

Sorry but I forgot who ask this

I have had gas for years, and spent tons of $$ trying to find an answer. Bob is right it is something you are eating. In Dr. Salt's IBS book he mentions things that cause gas.
Among them are grains, corn and potatoes. These are the things I have given up along with sweets of course. Someone I think Bill, sent me this URL http://www.inform.dk/djembe/scd/default.html

There you can read about how starches cause your problem and they also have recipies that you can use that allow lots of chicken veg. soup, and use of honey, which digest in stomach before it reaches the colon. I have been folling this for about 2 weeks and see some results. There are testimonies of many others who have used this diet with success. (despite what Flux will say) The only expense besides the food you eat will be the book called "Breaking the Vicious Cycle" it is an "Intestinal Health Through
Diet book" by Elaine Gottschall B.A.,M.Sc.

I had to order mine thru Readmore books, be sure you tell them the authors name as ther are other books with same title. (different subj) Hope this helps.

Hang in there, Joyce

Just wonderin if your gas is gone now that you read those books. I'm curious cause gas is my problem and I'm real tired of it. Right now I'm taking stuff that seems to be helping.
