I am lactose intolerant along with the IBS, and take Lactaid pills when eating dairy foods. It doesn't completely alleviate my symptoms, but it does help. However, when I drink the Lactaid milk, I still get diarrhea and gas. I get the 100% lactose reduced kind, so I don't get why it still makes me sick. Has anyone else tried the milk, and if so, how does it agree with you?

The recent scientific research largely indicates that those who don't absorb lactose do not suffer symptoms from it. Rather, it is the IBS that is responsible for the symptoms.
