what is the autonomic system an this parasympathetic tone,you mention increase level in the blood = defacation/ running nose,what may cause the increase,
my level must be hitting the ceiling!! is there a blood test for this, let me see if i read your post right, a high parasympathetic tone may cause running nose while deffacating,
could it be that a high tone level
might just be a clue as to this ibs, what are other symptoms of a high parasympathetic level,how can someone lower the tone level,
i find this subject very interesting, thanks charlie

well i spent most of the night reading up on autonomic tone i found on some web sites, mayo clinic for one, after reading about it the many forms of it, it looks like it could be the ideal suspect for some ibs problems, what do you think doc?
i find the testing to see if someone may have this condition very interesting,and simple, they did mention the link about sinus/defacation along with other gastro problems, well just wanted to touch base with you on this one doc.
